The Brief

The owners wanted a home that felt calm, connected and equipped for a more generous way of living — while respecting the original character of the property.

The Approach

A carefully considered rear extension became the social heart of the home, with a restrained palette of oak, limestone and tactile plaster bringing old and new into conversation.

The Result

A home with room to gather, pause and grow into.

The finished Ashford House is both quietly resolved and deeply personal: a period home with its character intact, and a contemporary family life now flowing naturally through it.

“They understood the house straight away — and then gave us a version of it that’s better than we could have imagined.”
